I haven’t been taking pictures often, too busy getting ripped and mirin’ myself. Maybe I’ll start taking pictures again. Anyway, HDR experiment. I think it turned out well.

edit – Decided to play around with the picture, editing is enjoyable.

Abusing drugs > looking at night sky > “Oh gosh I should photograph this” > grab camera > watch for shooting stars > draw with the north star while waiting > end up looking at the stars for hours and not taking any real photographs.

Huge success.

I need to go on excursions and such. Possibly get people to model for me. There is only so many pictures I can take on my yard/inside my house. Busy Days

Today I worked at a place over an hour away, then had to go home at 11 because of rain. I hung out with my friend/co-worker afterwards so I had no time to take any pictures, well I did but I didn’t do it.

Tired. Admire my back, and my collarbones. If work is cancelled tomorrow/I’m not tired after work, I might make a meaningful update.

Cloudy day today, mood – apathetic.

Not much to say about today’s post, just some more generic flower photos, and playing with the focus depth. Although Emily had a few friends over so I took some pictures of them. Like a boss.

Too many pictures this time, not adding captions unless necessary.

Also, Brynn (emily’s friend) took a few pictures of me. Brb, futuremodel.

I can't take credit for this, but it's such a good picture.

Today I went out into the garden to capture photos of bugs/flowers because I’ve got such a hard-on for macro shots. My goal was to capture a bug in flight, and I am very proud of the goalmaking shot.

Everything was done with manual focus, I really don’t enjoy the lack of precision/control that comes with auto focus, and I bet that using manual focus from the start will enable me to become a better photographer at a faster rate.

Today I further increased my understanding of exposure aperture and ISO speeds. I am pretty happy with the progress I am making, and just simply enjoying photography.

Honestly, this was a very hard photo. The fly hovered in place for ~3 seconds before it jolted a foot away at light speed. In order to get this photo I had to get him centered -> focused -> shot within 3 seconds. I cannot begin to describe how good I felt when I finally got him. I don't think this photo could have turned out better. Next time I will try a shorter exposure to see if it's possible to make the wings 'frozen'.

Be careful where you step! You might just murder an innocent toad unintentionally. This photo is not good, the point is to raise awareness for the tragedy of innocent toads losing their lives to carelessness! JUST THINK OF THE TOADS!!!

Berries are edible gems. That grasshopper knows what is up.

After I succeeded in my goal, we had a moment together. I will never forget this fly.

I've really developed an appreciation for nature through this. Look at how beautiful the colour of this damselfly is. Simply wonderful.

Did you know that flybee hybrids existed? This photo is subpar, but FLYBEE HYBRID?!?!?! FFFFFFFUUUUUUUUU!

I like this one. The bee matches the flower, and the flower is very beautiful.

Looks good, nothing too special about this one, typical macro shot. I like his eyes though.

I really dropped the ball on this one. Everything about it is perfect, except for the one flaw. I'm actually really angry that I didn't properly focus that fly. BRB cutting myself.

I was having a major battle with this damsel fly, I wanted to get him in flight as it would have been a really cool shot with the wings and everything. It proved to be too hard, poking at him to initiate flight -> eye to camera -> get the punk in the frame long enough to focusfocusfocus/pull the trigger. They just fly so erratically and land at unpredictable times, so I gave up and worked at getting a shot good enough to make me forget about my earlier failure. The focus on this shot is what makes it for me, having the body out of focus while the head is in perfect focus... HNGNGGHHHHH

This one could have been good, but I didn't focus it properly. Lesson learned.

I always thought flies were completely filthy(well, they are), but up close they are actually really interesting and almost beautiful. This one really does look like a little gem.

At first I hadn't thought about taking pictures of bugs, but then I noticed this little fellow and realized how fun it can be to take a picture of a bug.

Day 1, romance dawn~

Yesterday I got my camera, and decided to take a few generic shots to get to know how the camera did it’s thing. Also, I got a picture of my awesome tanned back.

I'm making a note here, huge success.

Garlic flower.

This picture is severely flawed technically, but you cannot judge art based on technique alone. I LIKE IT.

Mooooother. This is the before photo, she is going to be rowing all summer and wanted to see the difference at the end of the season. I bet she is going to be jacked and tanned just like me.

Well, I think it was the international space station. I decided that I was steady enough to do a 30 second exposure by hand. Guess I was wrong though, oh well, jittery beam of light in the night sky.

GRAINGRAINGRAIN. ISO fail. At least my back looks amazing.

The lighting was ideal, everything was ideal. Crystal horse.
